Clerk of Court Announces Passport Day

INVERNESS, FL. – Angela Vick, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, will host a special Passport Day on Saturday, February 8th, 8am to 2pm to accommodate those citizens unable to apply during regular business hours. The event is for adults and children needing to apply for a new passport using Form DS-11. The event will be held at the Clerk Annex, 120 N. Montgomery Avenue, Inverness. 

All United States Citizens applying for a new U.S. Passport must apply in person.  DS-11 application forms are available online at, at the Clerk Annex and all Citrus County library branches, and can be completed prior to the event.   When completing the DS-11 application, please use black ink only, and do not sign the application until you are requested to sign by an acceptance agent. Required documents to submit with the DS-11 application are your proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or naturalization paper, and a valid government issued photo ID.  

Although our facility cannot accept form DS-82 for passport renewals, our passport acceptance agents are happy to review those applications as a customer courtesy and take your passport photos. 

Passport photos for new and renewal applications are available at our facility for $12.00. Minors under 16 must apply in person with both parents; if both parents are not able to be present, please refer to the special circumstances on page one of the DS-11 application, or contact our office for assistance.  

Standard acceptance fees due to the Clerk and passport application fees due to the Department of State apply.  Acceptance fees to the Clerk may be made by cash, check or credit/debit card.  Passport application fees to the U.S. Department of State are payable by check or money order only.  A separate check or money order is required for EACH application.   

We are accepting passport applications at this event, but our acceptance facility does not print passports onsite.  Anyone requiring emergency passport services should contact the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) by calling 1-877-487-2778 or visiting
