Cash Payment Option Available
Friendly reminder: there is a cash payment solution for you to pay fines and fees, without having to come in to the Courthouse. The cash payment solution is made available through nCourt®, the current online and over the phone payment system. Through nCourt’s partnership with PayNearMe®, a leading provider of electronic cash processing, citizens can make some (but not all) court related payments with cash at any of the PayNearMe network retailers; CVS®, 7-Eleven®, and Family Dollar®. Some locations are open 24-hours, and your payment will be posted within 15 minutes. The service fee for this option is $5.99 for payments up to $199.99, and $7.99 for payments $200.00 and above.
To name a few, PayNearMe accepts payments for traffic tickets, court costs, fines and other court related fees, with a more comprehensive list located on our website. This service does not apply to fees for copy work, courts escrow deposits, restitution payments, court registry, or payment plan start-up fees.
Citizens wanting to make payments without going to the courthouse can use the Clerk’s Office website www.citrusclerk.org to make traditional credit/debit card payments, or use the new cash solution. When selecting the cash option, citizens follow three simple steps to complete their payment:
- Print a payment barcode slip or have the barcode sent to their mobile device
- Go to the retail location selected using their zip code
- Have their barcode scanned by the retailer cashier, make your payment and obtain a receipt.
When the payment is completed at the retail location of choice, a notification is sent to the Clerk’s office financial system within minutes of the payment.
“We are consistently exploring innovative ways to improve efficient public services and greater access to our court system, and we are excited to offer another payment channel to our citizens,” said Clerk Vick. “Our new cash solution is convenient, secure and protects the privacy of the individual. Citizens can choose store locations close to where they live and/or work, which is extremely beneficial for individuals with time-sensitive schedules,” commented Vick.
