New Clerk Annex - Now Opening

Clerk Vick is pleased to announce the official opening of the Clerk Annex, located at 120 N Montgomery, Inverness, Fl in the Publix Plaza.   If you have business with the courts, you’ll continue to take it to the Clerk’s office in the Courthouse. This includes filing lawsuits, injunctions, restraining orders and paying court fees/traffic fines.

Other functions are housed in the Clerk Annex, including: obtaining marriage licenses, passports, recording official records (like a deed) and researching plat records. County Commissioners will continue to meet in the courthouse, but the commission records are in the Clerk Annex.

The Clerk’s Office has a new program in place designed to cut down on waiting in lines. It’s called “QLess” and you’ll see it in the lobby of either office. Follow directions on the screen and you’ll be assigned a number, then wait for that number to be called. Deputy Clerks are on hand to assist. QLess is also available online, so you can sign up for a time before leaving the house.  Another note about QLess: It won’t let you sign in if you’re in the wrong building. Say you go to the courthouse for a marriage license, which is now available in the annex. QLess will direct you to the annex. (excerpt from the Dec 3rd front page article, Citrus County Chronicle)

Angela Vick, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, is pleased to announce that the opening of the Clerk Annex is scheduled for Fall 2018. The annex will be located at 120 N. Montgomery Avenue next to the Publix Supermarket plaza in Inverness and become home to the Clerk’s Financial Services Department and Internal Audit Department.

All court-related services such as injunctions for protection, customer service for opening court cases, searches and public access to court documents, payment of court fines and fees, traffic payments, and child support payments, will remain at the Courthouse located at 110 N. Apopka Avenue in Inverness.

The official “open for business” date will be provided following the projected construction completion slated for mid-October, 2018. Updates will be provided on the Clerk’s website at and on the Clerk’s Facebook at
